Travis Brass is comprised of two trumpets, a French horn, trombone or euphonium, and a tuba. One of the Band of the Golden West’s most flexible ensemble formations, the brass quintet excels at community recitals, education/recruitment outreach, anthems at sporting events, and outdoor military ceremonies and honors. Travis Brass has had the distinct honor of supporting many high-profile ceremonies over the years, from memorial services aboard the USS Midway to the honorary promotion of Brig General Buzz Aldrin. As part of the Band of the Golden West, the mission of Travis Brass is to harness musical excellence to HONOR our nation and those who have served, INSPIRE patriotism and resilience in our Airmen, Guardians, and nations’ citizens, and CONNECT the Air Force with the American public and community partners. The excellence demonstrated by our brass quintet reflects the excellence displayed by all Airmen stationed worldwide, whose selfless service and sacrifices ensure the freedoms enjoyed by citizens of the United States of America. For more information on Travis Brass, visit the Appearances page on the USAF Band of the Golden West website:
