Our audience has not rebounded after Covid. People are gradually finding their way back, but not to the audience numbers we were used to. We regret that budget cuts at the Salem Public Library keep us out of our home in Loucks Auditorium. But the Unitarian Universalist Church has fine acoustics, comfortable chairs, and better parking than the Library.
One reason for our small attendance is of course that not enough people know about us! We spend no money on publicity – well, we do send out a few newsletters; it’s hard to know how we could spend publicity money effectively. BUT Camerata just elected a new Board member, Carol Mitchell, who has worked on such things professionally. She is on a mission to reach out and make more people aware of what a treasure our concerts are! Watch and listen!
