We had a superb concert on Sunday, and I was pleased that our audience was up to over 80 people. This is still far below our normal pre-Covid audience, but significantly higher than the 50-something of our first two concerts this fall.
Our lineup of concerts for 2022 is taking shape. As of now, we have:
January 23: Hammers and Bows: Casey Bozell, violin; John Hubbard, cello;
Chris Engbretson, piano
March 6: Piano trio with Heather Blackburn
April 10: Golden West Winds
April 24: Willamette University student ensembles
I am very pleased to welcome Golden West Winds back again. You may remember that they are a woodwind quintet, part of the Band of the Golden West, an Air Force band stationed at Travis Air Base. This will be their third concert for us, after performances in 2012 and 2017. I have never heard a better woodwind quintet!
We are still trying to schedule the Thunder Egg Consort, and maybe add one more concert.
